Morningstar

In years past, mines were explored by small groups of people hoping to strike it rich. Unfortunately, as their search continues from site to site, they leave behind massive scars and often times dangerous exposed mineshafts. The Morningstar mine was one such abandoned mine. With a limited budget, National Park Service consulted with our team to create a solution where the remnants of the exploration were removed and the nature desert was restored. With consulting, revegetation and seeding, we were able to achieve great success.

Las Vegas Wash

The Las Vegas Wash is a riparian corridor that is an important resource for Southern Nevada. The wash is home to over 300 fish and wildlife species and more than 200 types of plants, and serves as a source of return flow credits to the Colorado River at Lake Mead. Since 2004, Soil-Tech has been tasked with conserving and restoring environmental resources of the Las Vegas Wash consistent with the Clark County Wetlands park Master Plan through: weed management, revegetation, stabilization of erosion, hydroseeding and installation of fencing.

The success of a seeding application often takes months or years to determine, which makes selection of a qualified applicator who can bring the preparation and experience necessary to achieve results critical to ensuring a successful project

Whether you are restoring a native desert habitat after construction, growing grass on a golf course or other commercial development, or re-establishing native plants at a reclamation or fire damaged location, Soil-Tech provides a comprehensive seeding solution to meet your requirements. Our years of experience in all types of seed application, and our extensive network of seed providers across the spectrum of geographies in the West and Southwest create a unique ability to customize a seeding solution for any situation.

Native seeding literally constitutes the roots of Soil-Tech’s business dating back to 1990. As the use of native seed for revegetation has grown and evolved, Soil-Tech has led the drive to find real world solutions to the often complex problem of achieving native plant growth in hostile desert environments. We have expanded our knowledge of applying native seed to reclamation activities for mining companies, fire restoration projects, large scale revegetation of transmission and pipeline projects, government efforts to remove the evidence of development on abandoned projects, and countless other public and private situations.
